but these are Ethan's eyelashes 

and you can see they are of quite the length

hopefully when he is older he will not find it a chore 

to listen to the girls swoon over his lovely long lashes 

 his uncle Henry had to listen to the swooning 

by humans of the female persuasion 

who were heaping compliments upon his lashes 

 and whence Henry discovered that such swooning 

was not to be appreciated by said self 

he dispenced of the aforementioned lashes 

by taking the scissors to one set of lashes and 

thusly snip-ped the lashes away 

thus rendering his lashes unswoonable

 ( a highly regarded state for a 7 year old ) 

a little crooked did Henry's face appear for a time

but after all these years

Henry still has beautiful eyelashes
