since it's pick on momma time

When we were down in Florida a number of years ago my parents attended with us the American wedding reception of Scott and Laura. We met oh so many people and each explained how they knew Scott.
Scott's grandmother introduced herself to my mother and said, "Hi, I am Scott's grandma"
My mother replied, "Hi, I am Scottish on my mothers side, but on my father's side I am Irish"
Scott's grandmother smiled politely and then went to find someone else to talk to.

Since we're talking about momma

Momma isn't a morning person.
This is what momma looks like before her coffee

and then she gets her coffee

that's much better

My smart momma

My mother thought that resting her forehead on this waterbottle would be a clever way to take a nap without messing up her hair - no bed head.

And her hair looked lovely.

And so did the ring on her forehead.

talking about travelling

My mother and I were on a cruise and often did the steps instead of the elevator so when we went to use the elevator my mom was rather confused. A set of elevator doors are on either side of this hallway. Mom walked into the hallway and was trying to find the elevator buttons and couldn't figure out why they made an elevator with no buttons in it. : )

back home again

We left at 7am on Friday morning and were back on Sunday about 4. For a trip around a memorial service it was remarkably fun. I suppose it can be the people you travel with. We had to get through a little bit of snow which I white-knuckled for a spell. I love getting back home and falling into my own familiar bed.

road trip

Well, not exactly a road trip. Although we will be on the road and it will be a trip.
Tomorrow we leave for my cousin's in Connecticut with my parents and my cousin.
I will have to remember to take lots of pictures...
