more ants came marching....

OK so they are aunts and not ants... 

and they aren't marching...

they are sitting on my mom's couch... 

and one of them is not my aunt... 

but my mother.

Spent some time at a family reunion at the beginning of the month up in the Soo. It was from my mother's mothers side of the family.

Stayed at my cousin George (and Susan's)
and had a splendiforous time being picked on.

Got to see Jeffrey and Laura's place.

in the backyard

Sat at a table in a restaurant and listened to the people at the table next to us struggling with remembering the words to a song. So I got up and began to sing the song to them. It was from the show Hee Haw.

Where, where, are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over,
And thought I found true love.
You met another and
Phht! you were gone.

and it never sounded so good. 

the ants came marching

Alexander was over a couple of weeks back and he was in the backyard with Martin. Alexander was going to go on the slide when he discovered that there were some ants already on the slide and Alexander did not want to deal with them and he decided that he didn't want to go on the slide after all.
Martin said to him, "It's ok, you can still go on the slide. The ants won't bother you. It's no problem."
Alexander looked at Martin and said, "Yes, problem."

 

Alexander thought that it was so funny that he was grinning all evening long.
He was sitting on the couch hours later and started laughing out loud and said, "Yes, problem."
