gratitude week 5

Something someone gave you.

Now that is a hard one.
So many to chose from.

One that I will always remember
was when I was in the scrapbooking store
buying supplies for a church project that was on my plate.
I had picked out what I thought would be good for the scrapbook I was making.

I am not one who will usually submit the bill to be reimbursed by the church.
It is usually just little things that I am responsible for, nothing really big.
I know that, regarding church expenditures, things are usually on a tight budget.
But then again the scrapbook I was making I wanted to be really great.
Not just put together as cheaply as possible.
So I sort of went all out.

So I was just getting ready to pay and the cashier
(another church member who must have known what it was for)
pulled out her own credit card and paid my bill.
I suppose it was her way of contributing to the scrapbook.

It was completely unexpected.
And, to be honest, a little unnerving.
People don't do that kind of thing for me.

Well, I appreciated it.
The memory alone returns the gratitude to my heart.
